Leeds United likely to look at other targets after link to former Bristol City and Middlesbrough star released by Aston Villa

Leeds United are 'aware' of Albert Adomah's availability but will likely look at targets elsewhere.

The Whites are on the lookout for a winger and were previously linked with Adomah over the last 12 months, but were unable to agree a deal with Aston Villa.

Yet the former Bristol City and Middlesbrough star is now available on a free transfer following his release from Villa Park, and that has sparked speculation that Leeds could well renew their interests in the 31-year-old.

However, the Yorkshire Evening Post's Phil Hay said on Twitter that Leeds are likely to go after other targets.

He said: "I think they'll go for other players but they're aware of his situation and he's been spoken about in previous windows."

It is similar to the situation with current Bristol City winger Callum O'Dowda.

Leeds had been linked to the Robins star in January but opted instead on trying to sign Daniel James from Swansea, a move which subsequently fell through.

With James now set to sign for Manchester United, Leeds could well have targeted O'Dowda again but they have reportedly ended their interest in the player.

Robins fans themselves are quite keen to see Adomah return to Ashton Gate after his three-year spell at the club between 2010 and 2013.
