Leeds United legend Chris Kamara set to leave Sky Sports

Leeds United legend Chris Kamara is reportedly set to leave Sky Sports.

For decades, Kammy, 64, has been a cult hero, because of his unmistakable style and occasional gaffes, as part of the broadcaster’s football coverage.

The former Whites player, who also played for Sheffield United and Bradford City, took up TV punditry after calling time on his playing and managerial career.

He’s been a familiar face on the flagship Sky Sports programme Soccer Saturday.

MailOnline reports Kammy has ‘seen the writing on the wall’ and is expected to leave Sky, along with Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling, at the end of the season.

The pair struck up a close friendship during their time together at Sky, with Kammy earning notoriety for coining the phrase ‘Unbelievable Jeff!’ which is regularly heard as he feeds in reports for the broadcaster’s live goals round up show.

It is thought, Kammy has decided to quit Sky Sports.

His most famous gaffe on Soccer Saturday involved missing a red card during a match between Portsmouth and Blackburn, with Kamara hilariously saying: "I don't know Jeff, has there?" when asked about the incident.

There has been an ongoing change of the football coverage at Sky Sports for a couple of years. In 2020, regular Soccer Saturday panellists of Matt Le Tisser, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson were axed by Sky.

Kammy’s popularity has grown so much over the years that he’s branched out away from football TV shows and is one of the hosts of ITV’s Ninja Warrior.

He’s also released music albums.

We’ll bring you more on Kammy’s future when we have it.
