Leeds United latest: expected XI, full injury list, press conferences

Monday was dominated by Leeds United's pre-match press conference which gave the media an opportunity to speak to both Marcelo Bielsa and Patrick Bamford.

Here is a round-up of the major stories from that briefing, including team news, injury updates and Bamford on his relationship with Eddie Nketiah.

Predicted Leeds United XI Marcelo Bielsa could switch to for Hull

Kalvin Phillips will return to Leeds United’s starting line-up on Tuesday night, that is certain, but who he replaces is less so.

Head coach Marcelo Bielsa was typically forthright in his pre-match press conference, making it plain Phillips would immediately return from suspension.

However, the Argentine was still undecided on where the change would come, meaning Gaetano Berardi may yet survive the chop and make way for Ben White in defence.

Here are three different combinations Bielsa could go with as Hull City, most recently playing a 4-4-1-1, head to Elland Road in the Championship.

Leeds' injury and suspension list for Hull City clash

Leeds United are back in action on Tuesday night as they look to maintain their rich vein of form against Hull City.

A 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday was the Whites' sixth win in a row as Leeds strengthened their position in the automatic promotion places.

This latest victory came without Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips who missed out via injury and suspension respectively, but who will be available for the clash against the Tigers?

Here's the full story.

Recap Bielsa and Bamford's pre-Hull press conference

Marcelo Bielsa and Patrick Bamford faced the media yesterday lunchtime to preview tomorrow night's clash against Hull City.

The Whites are on a nine-match unbeaten run and six-match winning streak which stretches back to November 2 and sit second in the table.

The head coach was up first, issuing a team news update before being asked about injuries, Hull, Jarrod Bowen and more.

Patrick Bamford was then up and he opened up on his recent dry spell, the competition he faces from Eddie Nketiah, away fan grief, the goalscoring charts and his relationship with Bielsa.

Recap every question put to the Leeds United pair at the Thorp Arch press conference as it happened below.
