Leeds United have been linked with a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Brennan Johnson.
Johnson has apparently been catching the eye during a loan spell at League One side Lincoln City this season.
The 19-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 23 appearances for the Imps to date.
According to The Athletic, the teenager has been watched by Leeds, with fellow Premier League club Burnley and Championship promotion hopefuls Brentford also showing an interest.
Belgian outfit Royale Union Saint-Gilloise - owned by Brighton & Hove Albion chairman Tony Bloom - are said to be keen as well.
Johnson has made eight first-team appearances for Forest and made his senior international debut for Wales in a 0-0 draw against the United States in November.
He is the son of former Forest and Ipswich Town striker David Johnson.
The Athletic says that the youngster remains a highly-regarded prospect at the City Ground and the club are "reluctant" to sell him, unless a significant bid comes in that is "too good to turn down".
Leeds are yet to add to their squad so far in the January transfer window.
Three players have gone out on loan - Jordan Stevens (Bradford City), Ryan Edmondson (Northampton Town) and Robbie Gotts (Salford City).
The transfer window closes at 11pm next Monday (Feburary 1).
Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa is not expecting any new signings to arrive before the deadline.
"No, it’s not contemplated that we’re going to bring anyone in," said Bielsa at his pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday's Premier League fixture at Newcastle United.
"I’m happy with the squad that we have, I’m comfortable with it and I feel we can finish the season with these players."
