Leeds United join Bristol City and Reading in race for bargain League Two hotshot formerly of Birmingham City

Leeds United have joined the race for Forest Green Rovers star Reece Brown.

Brown has scored 11 goals for the League Two play-off chasers so far this season, and his form had reportedly earned the attentions of Bristol City and Reading earlier this month.

Football Insider now report that Leeds have joined the Robins in the race for the winger.

The 23-year-old joined Forest Green from Birmingham City in the summer of 2017 and his contract expires this summer.

Being under the age of 24, clubs hoping to sign Brown would have to pay compensation for him, but the fact that he has been at Forest Green for just two years means it is unlikely to be a huge amount.

Instead, it has been reported that a club would be able to secure Brown for as little as £70,000.

As well as the Robins and Leeds, a number of other Championship clubs are said to be keeping tabs on Brown's form.

With Forest Green set to play a part in the League Two play-offs, Brown's profile could rise even further.
