Here is your Leeds United morning digest for Thursday, August 27.
Leeds issued major Ben White blow
Ben White's agent appears to have issued a decisive blow to Leeds' hopes of signing the defender permanently.
"The latest is there are a lot of conversations happening. Unfortunately for Leeds fans, Ben's just not going to be coming to Leeds. Brighton have categorically said there's no way they're going to sell to Leeds, so unfortunately that's the case," Alex Levack told Sky Sports.
"There's conversations going on, Ben's away up in Scotland with the Brighton team for pre-season, getting himself fit, getting around the team.
"I would say watch this space over the next few days."
Four positions to strengthen after Rodrigo arrival
Leeds United are pushing to conclude a major deal ahead of the new Premier League season, with Spain international Rodrigo poised to arrive on a club-record deal from Valencia.
However, landing a new striker isn't the only piece of business that Marcelo Bielsa's side need to complete ahead of the opening match against Liverpool at Anfield.
A new central defender tops the bill, with the hunt continuing to find the right man to fill the void left by Ben White's return to Brighton.
A right-back and a defensive midfielder could also be on the agenda, along with a left winger.
Victor Orta discusses Calum Chambers deal
Leeds United Director of Football Victor Orta has held talks with Arsenal around a potential deal to sign Calum Chambers, TeamTalk reports.
The former Southampton man has fallen down the pecking order and Mikel Arteta's side look like they're prepared to offload him, with the defence set to be bolstered by Gabriel Magalhaes' arrival.
Orta has previous history with Chambers, having signed the England international on loan during his time at Middlesbrough.
