Leeds United inspired kit revealed for the city's newest sports team

Leeds' newest sports team is close to its first ever match, and they have taken inspiration from the mighty Leeds United for their new set of kits.

Our city is now the home of Leeds Chiefs Ice Hockey team, who will play their games at the new Planet Ice Arena, which is coincidentally based on Elland Road, close to the home of Marcelo Bielsa's side.

The Chiefs play their first ever game against the Sheffield Steeldogs on Sunday, September 15, and in advance of that game they have released pictures of their three kits.

The Leeds Rhinos have traditionally played in amber and blue, and Leeds United have worn white ever since legendary manager Don Revie changed their kit in the early 1960s.

Leeds Chiefs have taken inspiration from the city's historic sides for their new strip, all three of which are a combination of white, blue and yellow.

As with Leeds United the white shirt will be their home kit, with the blue jersey for away matches and the yellow strip an alternative kit/ warm-up jersey.
