Leeds United icon Chris Kamara has addressed rumours of him appearing on Strictly Come Dancing and I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.
Kammy, 63, has become a popular pundit and TV presenter after hanging up his boots. As well as his work on Sky Sports, he regularly crops up on panel shows and celebrity specials.
Inevitably, questions then turn to whether one day he’ll put on his dancing shoes or head off to the jungle.
Speaking to The Sun, the former Leeds United player said: “Football’s my life. The reason why I haven’t gone into the jungle or anything like that is because I couldn’t physically say to Sky, ‘Can you give me six weeks off from my job?’.
“I’d hate to be in the jungle. I couldn’t do like Harry Redknapp did a couple of years ago in Australia, and be away from it. But I suppose Harry’s not really tied to a company like I am.
Kammy stated he has regularly turned down offers to appear on I’m a Celeb and Strictly.
While it might be disappointing to know he isn’t going to appear on either show, at least we know we’ll continue to see him doing what he does best.
