Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that Pablo Hernandez will miss Leeds United's trip to Charlton Athletic.
The Spaniard has started every game so far for Leeds in the Championship, but is currently suffering from a muscular injury which will sideline him this weekend.
"Pablo Hernandez is not able to play. He has a problem, a muscular problem," Bielsa said in his Thursday afternoon press conference.
"He felt that warming up in the last match, but today is not good. He’s not well enough to play."
Bielsa then confirmed that summer signing Helder Costa will step up from the bench to make his first Championship start for Leeds United.
"Helder Costa will play," Bielsa continued.
"He is ready, he is prepared. I cannot say I am happy because people will say I’m happy Pablo cannot play!," he said with a smile.
"I do not want to take the risk, but I am happy Helder is playing."
Costa arrived this summer from Wolves on loan, in a move which will become a permanent move worth around #£15million in the summer.
Earlier, Bielsa had confirmed that Adam Forshaw should be fit to return this weekend following his recent hip problem.
