Leeds United hit with fresh injury blow as Rodrigo limps off against Leicester

Leeds United suffered another injury blow during the first half against Leicester City as Rodrigo limped off.

The Whites' record signing looked to injury his groin when he stretched to receive a pass on 18 minutes.

After initially going down and receiving brief treatment he attempted to play on, only to be forced off two minutes later.

Mateusz Klich replaced the Spain international with the scores level at 1-1 after Stuart Dallas canceled out a Harvey Barnes opener.

The Pole had again been named on the bench for the second match in a row after being a near-ever present under Bielsa for the past two-and-a-half years.

Rodrigo's international team-mate Diego Llorente was forced off in the first half of Leeds' last match, with the defender lasting less than ten minutes against Newcastle United in what was his first start for the club.

Pascal Struijk was recalled to the team in Llorente's absence as Leeds look to follow up the win at St James' with another three points.

Rodrigo has made 18 appearances since his club record move from Valencia in the summer, but with Llorente and Robin Koch both injured, it means Marcelo Bielsa only has one of his new summer signings available in Raphinha.

Marcelo Bielsa will give an update on Rodrigo's condition in his post-match press conference.
