Leeds United handed tough Carabao Cup draw as Whites bid to write new history

Leeds United have only won the League Cup once and it's been a long wait since they had their hands on the trophy last.

You have to go back to 1968 and a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Wembley Stadium for Leeds' last win in what is now the Carabao Cup.

The class of 2021/22 will be hoping they can end that barren run having reached the last-16 of the tournament.

If they are to take another step closer to playing at the new Wembley Stadium, they'll first have to get past Arsenal after drawing them in the next round of the competition.

The Whites will head to the Emirates Stadium for a tough test against the Gunners.

The fourth-round tie will be played either Tuesday October 25 or Wednesday October 26, with the match coming between Premier League fixtures at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers and away at Norwich City.

Having fielded a strong line-up in the victories over Crewe Alexandra and Fulham, Marcelo Bielsa is likely to do the same again as his side bid to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Carabao Cup fourth-round draw in full

Chelsea v Southampton

Arsenal v Leeds

Stoke v Brentford

West Ham v Man City

Leicester v Brighton

Burnley v Tottenham

QPR v Sunderland

Preston v Liverpool
