Leeds United handed injury boost ahead of huge clash with Aston Villa next weekend

Leeds United have been handed a boost ahead of their testing clash with Aston Villa after Tammy Abraham hobbled off for Dean Smith’s side.

The Whites still have work to do after suffering a surprise defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic on Good Friday, which leaves Marcelo Bielsa’s side sat third in the table behind Sheffield United on goal difference with just three matches remaining.

Leeds will need to respond when they clash with playoff-chasing Villa in their penultimate game of the season and the potential absence of Abraham, who has scored 25 goals this season, is a significant blow for Villa.

The Chelsea loanee was forced off after scoring his side’s second goal against relegation-threatened Bolton Wanderers on Friday and Villa will be concerned about his availability for the rest of the season - and potentially into the playoffs.
