Leeds United handed Ben White boost by Brighton boss Graham Potter

Leeds United's promotion run-in has been boosted after Brighton and Hove Albion boss Graham Potter confirmed that loanee Ben White will be staying at Elland Road for the remainder of the campaign.

White signed for Leeds on a season-long loan in the summer, but the current suspension of the campaign saw question marks raised over when players would be due back at their parent clubs.

Talking to the media via video conference on Thursday afternoon as reported by The Argus, Potter confirmed that all of his loanees, including White at Leeds and Anthony Knockaert at follow promotion chasers Fulham, will all be staying at their current clubs until the end of the season.

"Anthony's still at Fulham, finishing off his season there.

"All the guys that are on loan will stay and finish their loan spells and then we'll discuss at the end of the season what the plan is for them.

"Each individual is different, of course and we'll make those decisions at the end of the season."

White arrived as a replacement for Pontus Jansson last summer and has gone on to be a vital part of Leeds' promotion push, playing every single minute of Leeds' Championship game so far.

Leeds have nine matches of their Championship season remaining and are due to restart with a trip to Cardiff on Sunday, June 21.

Marcelo Bielsa's side sit top of the table, a point ahead of West Bromwich Albion and seven clear of Fulham in third.
