Motherwell youth product Stuart McKinstry has been given his Premier League debut by Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa.
The Scotland youth international was brought on in the second half as Tottenham beat Leeds 2-1 during Antonio Conte's first league game as Spurs manager.
He may only have been fielded for the final few minutes, but the former Motherwell player still managed to take some part in a tussle with star-studded names like England captain Harry Kane.
Bielsa's men had been leading through Dan James but Pierre-Emilie Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguillon won it for Tottenham.
McKinstry has been in a handful of league squads for the Elland Road club this season and made his debut during September's Carabao Cup match against Fulham.
The 19-year-old left Motherwell in 2019 after his promise in the Fir Park academy prompted Leeds to snap him up before his senior 'Well debut.
His breakthrough into senior plans at Premier League level this season has shot him into the Scotland U21s squad for the first time, named in this month's squad for matches against Kazakhstan and Belgium.
