Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla told to be 'less crazy' by Elland Road favourite

Former Leeds United forward Jermaine Beckford has urged goalkeeper Kiko Casilla to stop taking chances at the back.

The Spaniard is well-known for taking risks at the back with the ball at his feet, however as a result, he has been guilty of being caught in possession, with his most high-profile mistake coming against Derby in the play-offs last season.

And Casilla, despite producing an excellent display in the Whites' 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, has been told to be a little "less crazy" when it comes to taking chances at the back by the Elland Road favouitre.

"He is someone who definitely divides opinion. I like him. He's very lively. I would just like him to be a little bit less crazy, if I'm honest," Beckford told Sky Sports.

"He takes a couple of chances when he is being closed down by opposition forwards. Ultimately he offers experience and you cannot ignore where he has been, what he's done and he was great today."

Casilla has kept seven clean sheets in his 14 Championship appearances this season.
