Leeds United’s famous admirers have been showing their love for the Whites after the teams last-gasp defeat to Premier League champions Liverpool.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men more than held their own when they were faced with the unenviable task of opening their league campaign with a trip to Anfield.
The game finished 4-3 to the Reds courtesy of a late Mo Salah penalty. The Whites put in a very spirited display with them finding three equalisers in the topsy-turvy match. Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford and Mateusz Klich all got on the scoresheet as Leeds United just fell short.
Undoubtedly, the game will prove to be the highlight of the opening weekend. The Whites had former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and one of Bielsa’s former stars Manchester City’s Benjamin Mendy, who played under the Argentine at Marseille, cheering them on via social media.
