Leeds United have taken aim at Hull City on Twitter after their comprehensive victory at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Marcel Bielsa’s side ran out 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Luke Ayling, Pablo Hernandez and a brace from Tyler Roberts.
The win moves the Whites a point behind table-topping West Brom and eight points clear of the chasing pack, but those sides do have a game in hand on the Whites.
And taking to the social media site following the one-sided victory, the Whites hit-back at a tweet posted by the Tigers back in December.
Following Cardiff’s late equaliser against Bielsa's side back in December, the Tigers tweeted: “Great weekend for late equalisers, eh @CardiffCityFC?” after they had also scored late against Charlton Athletic the day before.
But not missing their chance to fire back, the Whites posted this afternoon: “Don’t worry @HullCity, you always have that time another team got a draw against us.”
Victory on Saturday afternoon leaves the Whites well on course to return to England’s top-flight at the end of the season, while the defeat leaves Hull four points above the drop zone.
Next up for Bielsa’s men is a home game against Huddersfield Town next Saturday, before they face Cardiff City a week later.
