Leeds United fans will love Eddie Nketiah's classy message as Arsenal decision is confirmed

Eddie Nketiah has taken to social media to thank the Leeds United fans after it was confirmed that he would be returning to Arsenal in January.

The Arsenal forward has been on loan at Leeds this season, and has scored five goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

But Bielsa has confirmed that Nketiah is set to be recalled by the north London side during the January transfer window, having initially joined on a season-long loan.

The Leeds boss confirmed the news over the 20-year-old's future after the 1-1 draw with fellow promotion-chasers West Bromwich Albion, with Nketiah starting in the Championship for just the second time during his loan spell in the clash at The Hawthorns.

"Yes we know that he is not allowed to continue with us. It's a shame. It's a pity for us. Of course Arsenal and him didn't expect what we offered him," Bielsa told Sky Sports via a translator.

Arsenal are keen for Nketiah to have more opportunities in the second half of the season and have decided to recall the striker - as reported by football.london .

And Nketiah has sent a message to Leeds fans following the confirmation of his return to Arsenal.

In two separate messages on Twitter, he said: "Unfortunately my time @LUFC has come to an end. It’s been an amazing experience and a privilege to play for such an amazing club.

"I would like to say a big thank you to my teammates, the coaching staff and the manager for making my time here an enjoyable one.

"Lastly, a big thank you to all the wonderful fans for taking to me so quickly. I wish the club all the best and I’m sure you’ll get to the promised land."

Arsenal face Leeds United in the FA Cup third round on Monday night.
