Leeds United fans will forgive Pizza Hut after their Twitter takedown of Man United's deadline day

Leeds United fans will adore this take down of Man United’s transfer dealings this summer by none other than, you guessed it, Pizza Hut.

The restaurant chain, who were also responsible for weighing in on Twitter over ‘spygate’ back in January, have now entered the realm of tearing United’s transfer policy to shreds.

Leeds’ rivals were at the centre of some of the window’s most eyebrow-raising dealings before it’s closing, including paying a world record fee for a defender to acquire England international Harry Maguire - eclipsing the fee Liverpool paid for Virgil Van Dijk.

Taking aim at Ed Woodward, Pizza Hut’s tweet simply enquired whether United’s director of football wanted to cancel his reservation under the name ‘big money signings’.

The reactions to this tweet were equally as funny, with United fans and rivals alike weighing in on the joke and giving their verdict with some great reactions.

Six months ago, Leeds continued their bit of beef with Pizza Hut on Twitter themselves - with spats over their delivery times leading to the food company stating ‘Bit rich coming from a club that hasn’t delivered since 1992’.

Despite that cold, admittedly hilarious comeback - at least they’ve made up for it by highlighting a certain other club who are failing to deliver.

After the Whites’ 3-1 win at Bristol City, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are looking to build upon their impressive opening weekend victory with a home win against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
