Leeds United fans welcome Liam Cooper back but raise two questions after Fulham team news drops

Leeds United fans have reacted to Marcelo Bielsa’s latest team selection ahead of this afternoon’s clash with Fulham.

Bielsa named just the one change from the side that lost 4-3 to Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.

The Whites captain Liam Cooper returned to the side, with Pascal Struijk dropping down to the bench for the clash against fellow newly-promoted side Fulham.

Many supporters, rather unsurprisingly, are delighted with Cooper’s inclusion in a game they go into with high confidence levels following last weekend’s impressive display.

New signing Rodrigo Moreno could only make the bench for Leeds, with one of last weekend’s goalscorers Patrick Bamford leading the line at Elland Road.

After being signed for £26m from Valencia earlier in the summer, the Spaniard is yet to make a competitive start for Leeds - which seems to have slightly confused some supporters.

Goalkeeper Kiko Casilla didn’t even make the matchday squad for Bielsa’s side, despite being named on the bench at Anfield seven days ago.

The Whites have the chance to put their first Premier League points of the season on the board today, as they take on Scott Parker’s Cottagers.

The two sides both beat each other in the Championship last season - with Fulham winning the first fixture 2-1 at Craven Cottage in December.

However, Leeds were comfortable 3-0 winners against Saturday’s opponents in late-June, with Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison all on the scoresheet.
