Leeds United fans urged to collect tickets for Stoke City clash early after surge in sales

Leeds United fans are being urged to collect their tickets for tonight's Carabao Cup clash against Stoke City as early as possible following a surge in sales over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa's men face the Potters tonight just four days after the eased past under-pressure Nathan Jones' side 3-0 at the bet365 Stadium in the Championship on Saturday.

Goals from Stuart Dallas, Gjanni Alikoski and Patrick Bamford ensured that Leeds made it four wins out of five in the league to maintain their place as early pace-setters.

And it would appear that Saturday's superb performance has convinced plenty of fans to make their way to tonight's Carabao Cup second round clash, with around 7,000 tickets being sold over the past 48 hours.

Approaching 30,000 tickets for the clash have been sold as of 9am in Tuesday, with the club urging fans to collect their tickets as early as possible in order to avoid queues on the evening, with the tickets office open all day at Elland Road.

Leeds saw off Salford in the opening round of the Carabao Cup earlier this month, with Bielsa expected to make a host of changes for tonight's match, just as he did in the last round.
