Leeds United fans suffer potential stadium setback for 2020/21 Premier League season

Away supporters may not be back at Premier League matches for the whole of next season, it has been claimed in a new report.

The Premier League is working to welcome fans back to stadiums in October, after every game has been played behind closed doors since football resumed in June. .

However, away supporters are not the priority, according to a report from Sportsmail, and clubs will instead look to accommodate season-ticket holders first.

Each stadium is set to be between 20 and 30 percent filled due to the social distancing guidelines currently in place by the Government.

The Premier League held progressive talks with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on Thursday, as they look to welcome back supporters by October.

There are talks of test events as well, to help the DCMS, the Government and the Premier League find out exactly how supporters being back in grounds will work.

Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly volunteered the Amex Stadium as a potential venue for the test events.
