Here is the Leeds United morning digest on Saturday, September 12.
Berardi drops major hint at shock Leeds return
Former Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi has dropped a major hint that he could return to Elland Road despite leaving the club earlier in the summer.
Berardi’s contract with the Whites expired at the end of last season, bringing to an end a six-year stay at the club.
However, speaking to Swiss outlet RSI, via Sport Witness, Berardi hinted at a possible return to West Yorkshire: “At the end of September, I should go back to England to define everything and still stay at Leeds.
“We deserved the promotion and we hope to stay up in the Premier League too. I think the team is well equipped and we will have the opportunity to show our qualities.”

Why Bielsa can gain tactical edge over Klopp
Marcelo Bielsa will come up against Jurgen Klopp this evening, as two of the world’s most famous managerial figures come head-to-head at Anfield - as Josh Williams writes.
In some ways, the two bosses play very similar football, with their players leaving everything they have on the pitch, with relentless and frightening energy on the field.
However, Bielsa does seem much more experimental when it comes to changing formations to try and gain an advantage over the opposition.
The Argentine boss would’ve undoubtedly done his homework on how last season’s Premier League champions will line up on Saturday evening.

O’Hara issues warning to Leeds fans
Jamie O’Hara believes Leeds fans may be getting carried away with some of their predictions ahead of the Whites’ return to the Premier League.
Former Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford and O’Hara were on talkSPORT speaking about how they’ll get on in their first season back in the top-flight, and the former believes top half is doable for Bielsa’s men.
O’Hara, however, strongly disagrees: “Top half?! I’ll start this off and I think they are getting way over-hyped. Way over-hyped with everything that’s going on with Leeds right now.
“This is your first season back in the Premier League and I’m hearing people talking that they are going to be top six. People are talking about the Champions League. Get back in your box, Leeds United fans. You are going to struggle. It’s going to be a long, hard, tough season.”
