Leeds United fans say the same thing after Marcelo Bielsa names team to face Fulham

Leeds United fans were relieved and delighted to see Patrick Bamford named in the starting line-up against Fulham on Friday evening.

Bamford limped off during last weekend's goalless draw with Chelsea after sustaining a hip injury.

However, Leeds' top scorer has recovered in time to face Fulham in the Premier League at Craven Cottage (8pm kick-off).

It means head coach Marcelo Bielsa was able to name the same side that started the Chelsea match.

Captain Liam missed out once again due to illness and Rodrigo is also absent after a minor setback in training this week.

He is replaced on the bench by 18-year-olf forward Joe Gelhardt, who is yet to make his senior debut since joining the club from Wigan Athletic.

Illan Meslier continues in goal behind a back four of Luke Ayling, Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijjk and Gjanni Alioski.

Kalvin Phillips anchors the midfield, with Stuart Dallas and Tyler Roberts ahead of him.

Raphinha and Jack Harrison start out wide, with Bamford leading the line.

Bamford may well have a point to prove after missing out on a place in Gareth Southgate's latest England squad.

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins was handed a maiden call-up ahead of the Leeds front man.

"Come on Paddy prove Southgate wrong," said one Leeds fan on Twitter.

This sentiment was echoed by a second supporter, who tweeted: "PADDDYYY come on lad!! Show Southgate what he’s missing."

Meanwhile, a third fan said: "Would love to see Gelhardt get his debut tonight."

LEEDS UNITED: Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Struijk, Alioski; Phillips; Raphinha, Dallas, Roberts, Harrison; Bamford. Subs: Casilla, Koch, Berardi, Jenkins, Shackleton, Klich, Costa, Poveda, Gelhardt.
