Leeds United fans' reaction to 'Fred the Red''s antics shows Man United rivalry still as strong as ever

Leeds United went down to a 4-0 defeat to Manchester United in Australia earlier on Wedneday.

Marcelo Bielsa selected an experienced side for the game at the Optus Stadium but Leeds struggled to cope with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team in the Perth heat with Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones and Anthony Martial scoring the goals.

Bielsa's side will now face Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday as the tour concludes.

While this match may have lacked the teeth of previous encounters, tensions were high in the second half when Adam Forshaw and Ashley Young clashed twice, with the former England winger getting booked for a poor tackle on the Leeds man.

And some sidelines antics from Manchester United's 'Fred the Red' mascot proved that the rivalry is still there for the fans, with Leeds supporters reacting exactly as you'd expect, as this video from social media shows:

Following the match, Man United supporters were keen to offer their thoughts on the victory over their old rivals as they were given chance to reflect on their sixth place finish last season.

Here's some of the reaction from social media from the Red Devils contingent.
