Leeds United fans reach tipping point in Eddie Nketiah vs Patrick Bamford debate

For Leeds United fans, the 1-1 draw at Preston North End has put the Patrick Bamford versus Eddie Nketiah debate to bed.

The subject of who should lead the line for Marcelo Bielsa's side has been a key talking point among Whites supporters in recent weeks, with Bamford's excellent all-round displays lacking only the finishing touch.

Meanwhile Eddie Nketiah has impressed in his appearance off the bench and notched a hat-trick for England Under-21s earlier this month.

Bamford was again given the nod against Preston, but missed a host of chances and was quickly replaced by the Arsenal loanee after Leeds fell 1-0 behind to Tom Barkhuizen's 74th minute stike.

Nketiah quickly made an impact and would win a free-kick with four minutes remaining, which would eventually lead to him nodding Leeds level and leaving Deepdale with a point.

For Leeds fans, the contrasting fortunes of Nketiah and Bamford have emphatically answered the question of who should start at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
