Leeds United fans paid tribute to Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight during the first half of their side's

Friday marked the 19th anniversary of the tragic death of the two Leeds supporters on the eve of a UEFA Cup tie against Galatasaray in Istanbul, with the travelling fans at St Andrew's turning their backs to the pitch and chanting 'turn your backs for Chris and Kev' in the 19th minute.

Birmingham City fans responded with a hearty round of applause.

This came after the club tweeted their own tribute to the pair on Friday, posting: "19 years on, they will never be forgotten and are forever in our hearts. RIP Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight".

Whites skipper Liam Cooper also tweeted a message to the two supporters on Friday, saying they were 'gone but never forgotten'.

Leeds take on Birmingham looking to strengthen their grip on second place as the season enters the final month.
