Leeds United fans noticed what Che Adams did to Kalvin Phillips during England v Scotland

Kalvin Phillips was unable to wield the same magic for England as he did in their Group D opener against Croatia during Friday night's 0-0 draw with Scotland at Euro 2020.

Phillips started once more and completed the full 90 minutes as Gareth Southgate's side toiled to a goalless stalemate but a moment involving the Leeds United midfielder and Southampton forward Che Adams prompted some debate among supporters.

The 25-year-old suffered a shoulder injury in the closing stages of Leeds' final-day 3-1 win over West Brom and there had been initial fears about his ability to participate in this summer's Championships.

And a clip shared by Leeds United fans on Twitter appears to show the Saints and Scotland forward knock Phillips on the same shoulder he had been suffering from during a fairly innocuous challenge in front of referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz.

It prompted concerns among supporters after Phillips was required to prove his fitness to England staff before being confirmed as a member of the final 26-man squad for this summer's tournament.

Fortunately, there was no harm done to England’s number 14 as he continued to play out the rest of the match until the final whistle. Phillips and England take on the Czech Republic in their final group game on Tuesday evening.

The Leeds United man has been a favourite of Gareth Southgate in 2021, playing every minute of England’s Euro 2020 campaign thus far and the expectation is he will continue in the same vein again at Wembley on Tuesday.
