Leeds United fans have urged the club to sign Rodrigo de Paul after reports claim a deal for Michael Cuisance has fallen through.
The Bayern Munich midfielder was expected to become the Whites' final summer signing after a £20million fee was agreed between the two clubs.
Asked about Cuisance during his pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester City this weekend, Marcelo Bielsa said: "I would prefer to talk about him when he is officially our player.
"I don’t want to repeat the case of Dan James."
However, reports on Thursday night from Sky Sports and The Athletic claim that Cuisance has flown back to Munich after the deal had collapsed.
The Athletic claim Cusiance failed his medical whilst transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal fell through after an agreement couldn't be reached on the structure of the deal.
Leeds are keen to sign another attacking midfield/forward to further bolster Bielsa's attacking options.
De Paul had been heavily linked prior to developments with Cruisance but the two clubs were yet to agree a fee with Udinese demanding €35million.
However, after this latest blow, Leeds are adamant the club must pay whatever it takes to land the Argentine.
The Whites welcome Manchester City to Elland Road on Saturday without the services of Jack Harrison, who can't play against his parent club.
