Leeds United fans mock Aston Villa after Premier League loss to Southampton

Leeds United supporters have been reacting to Aston Villa's 4-3 defeat to Southampton at Villa Park, following Gabby Agbonlahor's comments last month.

The Saints edged the seven-goal thriller in the end, after initially going 4-0 through a James Ward-Prowse brace, one from Danny Ings and the opener from Jannik Vestergaard. However, Villa fought back with Tyrone Mings, Ollie Watkins and Jack Grealish all scoring for Dean Smith's side, only for the match to end 4-3.

The Whites and Villa haven't had the best of relationships over the last few weeks, with Agbonlahor triggering Leeds supporters after labelling the Yorkshire-based club a 'myth'.

That made the 3-0 victory at Villa Park, courtesy of a Patrick Bamford hat-trick, all the sweeter on Friday, October 23. The former Villa striker, Agbonlahor, then claimed that his old team were 'unlucky' despite the Whites' sensational display in the Midlands.

Prior to the Villa vs Leeds, the former had a perfect start, winning every match in the Premier League. However, Marcelo Bielsa 's side's comfortable win ended that streak, and now Smith's team have lost successive league matches.

Leeds supporters have been reacting to Villa's latest defeat, and rather unsurprisingly, the fans have not been holding back in their assessment of Sunday afternoon's opening game.

Next up Leeds have the chance to climb into the top four as they welcome Leicester City to Elland Road on tomorrow evening.

The Foxes, like the Whites, have started the season in terrific fashion, and will come into the game in good spirits after a 1-0 win at the Emirates Stadium over Arsenal last weekend. It's expected to be a tight tussle in West Yorkshire.
