Leeds United fans make VAR admission as they take aim at Harry Kane decision

Leeds United fans have questioned the VAR decision to rule out a Harry Kane goal in the first half of their clash against Tottenham.

The Whites took the lead at Elland Road through Stuart Dallas before Heung-Min Son equalised for Spurs.

With the score at one apiece, Tottenham thought they'd grabbed the lead after Kane chipped the ball over Illan Meslier after neat build-up play.

However, after a lengthy consultation, VAR ruled Kane was offside when he was played in on goal, much to the bafflement of everyone watching the match.

The lines drawn show Kane seemingly level with Pascal Struijk but the goal was chalked out, to Leeds' benefit.

Such is the disdain towards VAR, Leeds fans have insisted Kane's goal should have stood.

Patrick Bamford - who has seen plenty of VAR decisions go against him this season - then put Leeds back in front before half time to add insult to injury for Spurs fans.

Speaking about the decision at half-time, Glenn Hoddle said: "We're back to the same old story, it's meant to make the game better.

"If it was at the other end, I'd say the same, it's too tight. You have to give that to the attacker."
