Leeds United fans make a promise to Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez as departures confirmed

Leeds United fans have promised to give club heroes Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi the send-offs they deserve this weekend after their departures were confirmed.

A club statement has announced that the long-serving duo will be leaving the club at the end of the season, which has led to an outpouring of emotional from fans on social media.

The duo played key parts in helping the Whites win promotion back to the Premier League last season but after playing reduced roles back in the top flight, will both be moving on after Sunday's season finale against West Bromwich Albion.

Approximately 8,000 fans will be present at Elland Road as supporters are permitted inside the stadium for the first time in 442 days in what promises to be an emotional afternoon.

Fans who are lucky enough to be present have promised to give them the send-off they deserve, while those watching from home have also weighed in on social media, a sample of which you can see here:

Marcelo Bielsa will discuss the duo's imminent exits when he faces the press to preview the match against West Brom on Friday morning.
