Leeds United fans love what Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta did during Man United clash

The latest chapter in Leeds United's bitter rivalry with Manchester United took place on Sunday afternoon as the Red Devils arrived at Elland Road for the first time since 2003 in the Premier League.

This is the 109th time the two old foes have locked horns in a cross-Pennines rivalry that has its roots in the War of the Roses, a historical contest that took place more than half a millennium ago.

Although meetings between the two sides have been scarce in recent years, Leeds fans' passion for the fixture still burns bright, with Manchester United's involvement in the failed European Super League over the past week having added further fuel to the fire.

While Red Devils fans protested against their owners pre-match by flying a banner which said 'Glazers out' above Elland Road, Leeds fans were, in contrast, praising their chairman Andrea Radrizzani.

That's because the Sky Sports cameras spotted the Italian say alongside his director of football Victor Orta and chief executive Angus Kinnear in the Elland Road West Stand sporting large white roses on their jackets.

While Red Devils fans accuse their owners of betraying traditions and being out of touch with their fanbase, Leeds supporters were able to revel in the sight of those that run their club taking their time to honour the club's traditions during one of the biggest matches of their season.
