Leeds United fans have the same criticism of Marcelo Bielsa after loss to Wigan Athletic

Leeds United suffered a hammer blow this afternoon after a surprising 2-1 defeat at home to Wigan Athletic.

The Whites were expected to beat a relegation-threatened Wigan side and looked set to do exactly that when Cedric Kipre was sent off and Patrick Bamford opened the scoring for the hosts.

Either side of the break everything fell apart for Marcelo Bielsa's men. Gavin Massey bagged a brace to give Wigan a 2-1 lead and despite intense pressure from Leeds, the Whites couldn't level the contest.

This now means United are third on goal difference after Sheffield United's 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest earlier on Good Friday. With three matches remaining, it's safe to say fans are not happy with what transpired at Elland Road.

When it comes to what went wrong for the side against Wigan, former Leeds boss Simon Grayson has blamed some shocking defending, but supporters have gone into the finer details when assessing why they suffered the shock defeat, with Bielsa's substitutions a huge sticking point.

Bielsa surprised fans when he took off Kalvin Phillips and Tyler Roberts at half-time while it was 1-1 and replaced them with Adam Forshaw and Kemar Roofe respectively. Jack Clarke also came on for Mateusz Klich in the 70th minute.

Leeds fans admittedly don't question Bielsa regularly after working wonders at the club, but today they believe he was wrong.
