Leeds United fans have Marcelo Bielsa theory as Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha train ahead of Spurs

Leeds United fans believe Kalvin Phillips is in with a chance of starting against Spurs but are more pessimistic over the prospect of Raphinha playing from the off.

The Whites are set to run the rule over both Phillips and Raphinha after recent injury lay-offs, with a video released by the club showing the duo returning to training ahead of the game against Spurs this weekend.

Phillips was a surprise absentee from last weekend's defeat to Brighton, with Raphinha having sat out the last three matches.

The Brazilian's longer absence means fans believe that Phillips has a better chance of starting this weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa has refused to be drawn on whether either player would be fit to feature on Saturday in his pre-match press conference earlier this week.

Bielsa said that both players were under a daily evaluation ahead of the game but did not reveal any more information about whether he expected either of them to feature.

It meant plenty were pessimistic over the prospect of either player featuring in the match but both appear to be back in training after they featured in a video published by the club on Friday.

The pair are seen training fully with their teammates at Thorp Arch, although it is unclear how much of the session they played a part in.

It remains to be seen whether Bielsa will opt to start either of them against Spurs this weekend.

Yet it is likely that Phillips is closer to a return than Raphinha due to how little time he has spent on the sidelines.

With four games still to play this season and a top-10 finish well in the Whites' grasp, though, Bielsa may opt against playing Phillips unless he is fully-fit.
