Leeds United fans' fears about Derby County play-off perfectly summed up by pundit

Leeds United have the clear advantage over Derby County ahead of tonight's Championship play-off semi-final second leg but fans have been here before.

The Whites were favourites to earn automatic promotion to the Premier League ahead of the final three games of the campaign but fell apart in dramatic fashion.

Leeds hosted Wigan Athletic last month in the first of those matches and were leading 1-0 in the first half after Wigan also had Cedric Kipre sent off.

But two Gavin Massey goals either side of the break led to a shock defeat for Leeds which was then followed by a 2-0 loss at Brentford which allowed Sheffield United to land automatic promotion.

Fast-forward to the play-offs and it looks like Leeds are beyond their late-season woes but pundit Liam Rosenior has perfectly summed up what supporters will be feeling ahead of this evening's contest.

"Leeds are clear favourites and I don't know whether that is a good or bad thing," Rosenior told Sky Sports. "I look back to that game against Wigan when they were favoured as an example. Derby are a team with talented players who have nothing to lose."

However, Rosenior did add that he feels that Marcelo Bielsa's men look a different side to the one which capitulated in the regular season.

"The only thing I would say is Leeds were by far the better team in the first leg. Leeds looked refreshed and now it's theirs to lose," Rosenior added.
