Leeds United fans excited over rumoured blue and yellow 2021/22 away shirt

Leeds United fans have been treated to yet another supposed leak of one of next season's kits, this time the away shirt.

Previously, FootyHeadlines.com leaked pictures and mock-ups of a rumoured home shirt and the 2021/22 third kit.

The home shirt is supposedly set to be white with yellow trim, as opposed to this season's blue Adidas stripes adorning the shoulders.

Leeds' rumoured 2021/22 third shirt is set to be a pink number, with Adidas swapping out the maroon of this season.

Most recently though, the away shirt leak suggests Leeds United fans will get their wish with a traditional blue and yellow away shirt.

Based on a cropped image of the shirt, it appears as though the shirt will be mainly blue, but with 'electricity yellow' as the accent colour.

As quoted by FootyHeadlines.com: "What makes the Adidas Leeds United 2021-2022 away shirt outstanding is not only the color scheme but also a bold all-over graphic pattern in a lighter shade of purple."

One supporter tweeted: "Blue AND Yellow. #lufc #MOT".

Meanwhile, another stated: "This has the potential to be a belter..."

The notion of blue, as yellow as yellow trim, is one that has Leeds supporters excited, harking back to classic away kits of the 1990s and early 2000s.

However, it has not been received well by every Leeds fan.

One tweeted: "Do Adidas just copy kits every season but give them to other clubs?" while attaching an image of Arsenal's current patterned blue third kit which features a light pink trim.

Leeds know it is extremely likely the team will be wearing their new strips in the Premier League next season. The side have achieved 45 points, a sum which no Premier League team has ever been relegated with in a 38-game season.

Whether the leaked kits do transpire to be genuine upon release this summer, one thing is clear among Leeds supporters: blue and yellow would go down rather well.
