Leeds United fans confused by Mateusz Klich omission at Newcastle United

Leeds United fans have been reacting to their side’s team news for the Premier League clash against Newcastle.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side go into the contest at St James’ Park in 12th place in the league table, and without a win in their last three matches in all competitions.

The Leeds boss has opted to make three changes to the team that lost to Brighton just over a week ago, with the first coming between the posts.

Illan Meslier returns to the team in place of Kiko Casilla, while there are also starts for Diego Llorente and Kalvin Phillips, with Mateusz Klich and Pascal Struijk dropping to the bench.

Plenty of Leeds fans have taken to social media to express their thoughts and emotions on the team news, here is a selection of what they had to say.

What does Newcastle Chronicle reporter Lee Ryder think of Leeds United this season?

Simon Holland: “What a line up. Come on boys.”

Hannah Dixon: “Now that looks good to me!”

Babou Juuf: “All Leeds aren't we. Three points for the whites tonight.”

Mick Acton: “We gotta have a chance with that line up.”

Burny: “Be nice to see Ayling back in his natural position. We've missed him massively.”

Oliver White: “Good to see that Klich has been given a rest, he hasn’t looked himself recently. Nice to see Llorente finally starting too. Come on boys!!”

Dan: “I can’t decide whether that’s good or not.”

Chris White: “Is this the second time Klich has been put on the bench?”

Darren Aveyard: “Klich on the bench? Never thought I’d see that. Come on Leeds!”
