Leeds United fans all say the same thing about Helder Costa starting against Man City

Leeds United fans believe it is Helder Costa's chance to shine after being named in the starting line-up against Manchester City.

The winger has been handed his first start since early March due to loanee Jack Harrison being unavailable to play against his parent club.

It will be Costa's 21st appearance of the season in all competitions, with the 27-year-old having struggled to play as regularly as last season due to Raphinha's form since arriving in the summer.

It means Leeds fans are excited to see what Costa can do, with him being the only change from the side that overcame Sheffield United last weekend.

Pre-match, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa admitted his disappointment at the fact Harrison was unavailable but said the club had contingency plans due to knowing in advance that the winger would not be able to play.

He said: "We would have hoped to have counted on him. Especially as his last performances have been good but we knew about the rule that impeded him from playing.

"Like in all the positions, we have more than one option and we are in condition to replace him."

The Whites go into the game having won just once against a top-six side all season and Bielsa said the club are aware that this needs to change if they are to get anything against Man City.

He said: "It's our objective to modify this.

"There's a lot of teams in a similar position to us who have been able to beat the top six. That's to say it's possible and we haven't managed to achieve it yet."
