Leeds United eye up summer moves for impressive duo; Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion target gives update; Sheffield United land transfer

Championship clubs are already looking to the next transfer window as they prepare for another round of recruitment this summer.

Here’s all the latest transfer talk from the division:

Van der Hoorn’s contract situation

Aston Villa and West Brom target Mike Van der Hoorn is no closer to signing a new deal at Swansea

The Championship clubs were both put off by his £10m price tag in January, especially as he is out of contract in the summer,

Swansea have an option to extend his stay by 12 months but he said:

“It’s quiet. I’m playing my game and we’ll see at the end of the season. I can’t tell you much more,” he is quoted by Wales Online.

“I think it’s from Swansea, the option, so it’s not my option. They’re going to decide if they want to have me for longer.”

Bolasie targeted by Leeds

Yannick Bolasie is on Leeds United’s radar, according to Teamtalk.

The 29-year-old winger has starred for Anderlecht since leaving on loan from Everton in January, but will struggle to sign him permanently.

Bolasie spent the first half of the season at Aston Villa and could be back in England with Leeds interested in taking him next term.

And the Whites also want this man

Leeds United are also interested in Boca Juniors ace Nahitan Nandez.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Marcelo Bielsa wants to sign the holding midfielder in the summer but Roma could swoop in.

Reports suggest an offer is already on the table and it is now down to the selling club to decide whether the Uruguay international leaves.

A Blade for the future

Sheffield United want to sign talented teenage striker Josh Scott from Hartlepool.

The 17-year-old is currently on a youth contract with Pools but they are expected to cancel his contract which would free up a move to Bramall Lane, according to the Hartlepool Mail.

Scott is the latest in a line of youngsters who have impressed for the National League side’s development group.
