Ben White on Leeds future

Leeds United’s loan defender Ben White has been a key part of the Championship winning team this season, since signing on loan from fellow Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion at the start of the campaign.

The central defender showed his worth to the team against Charlton, scoring a volley from outside the area to give the Whites the lead in the game.

Leeds fans took to social media hoping that it wouldn’t be the defender’s last game for the club, but when asked about his future after the game, White didn’t give too much away.

Bielsa’s contract delay explained

Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear has named a date when talks over a new deal for Whites’ manager Marcelo Bielsa will begin.

One of the first things on Leeds’ to-do list after earning promotion to the Premier League is to provide Bielsa with a new deal, with the manager’s current deal running out next week.

Bielsa himself has said that he was looking to enjoy the promotion celebrations before entering talks over a new contract, but Kinnear has put fans’ minds to rest revealing that talks will be beginning very soon.

We wanted Marcelo to enjoy the moment and we're also very conscious that he focusses incredibly diligently on the next match and he wanted to win tonight.

"He wants to honour the competition, then we'll be sitting down and having that conversation.
