Leeds United, Everton and Burnley's Premier League run-in compared

The race for Premier League survival looks set to go down to the wire, with Leeds United, Burnley and Everton set to battle it out to stay up. Norwich have already been relegated while Watford's fate has essentially been sealed following their 2-1 loss to Burnley last weekend.

The leaves the final spot open with just under a month left of Premier League action to go. LeedsLive runs the rule over the relegation candidates remaining fixtures...

Leeds United: Sun 8 May v Arsenal (A), Wed 11 May v Chelsea (H), Sun 15 May v Brighton (H), Sun 22 May v Brentford (A)

This weekend sees Leeds travel to the Emirates to take on an Arsenal side challenging for the top four. With something to play for, Arsenal will be a tough outfit for Leeds. The last time the two sides faced off, the Gunners beat Leeds 4-1 in a comprehensive December win. From there, they take on Chelsea in midweek.

The game against Chelsea could be significant for Leeds, as the Blues have to prepare for the FA Cup final that coming weekend. Thomas Tuchel may rest some players handing Leeds a potentially easier match-up than expected.

Brighton and Brentford are Jesse Marsch's sides final two games of the season. Both have enjoyed strong campaigns especially the latter who will be looking to finish their debut Premier League campaign on a high.

However, there is a chance that both sides could potentially be on the beach when they face Leeds which could be massive in helping the Whites stay up.

Burnley: Sat 7 May v Aston Villa (H), Sun 15 May v Spurs (A), Thurs 19 May v Aston Villa (A), Sun 22 May v Newcastle (H)

Somehow, Burnley always manage to defy the odds. Every season they're amongst the favourites to be relegated and every season they always manage to survive. Much was made of the sacking of Sean Dyche, with plenty of eye brows raised at the Clarets decision. However, interim manager Mike Jackson has come in and helped guide Burnley to 10 points from a possible 12.

They face Aston Villa at home this weekend, as they look to pick up their fourth win on the bounce at Turf Moor. They could certainly pick up points against Steven Gerrard's side. Spurs on May 15th could prove to be tough with Antonio Conte's side still chasing a top four finish.

But if they can pick up points against Villa this weekend then they should have no fear of facing them again on May 19th. Win both of those games against Villa and Burnley will reach the all important 40-point mark.

Newcastle will be playing for pride on the final day having put together a strong 2022 to stay up. They could also potentially be on their holidays heading into the final game of the season which would give Burnley a boost.

Everton: Sun 8 May v Leicester City (A), Wed 11 May v Watford (A), Sun 15 May v Brentford (H), Thurs 19 May v Crystal Palace (H), 22 May v Arsenal (A)

Out of the remaining relegation candidates, Everton are the only side with five games left of their Premier League campaign.

They take on a wounded Leicester City side who missed out on reaching the inaugural Europa Conference League final on Thursday following a 2-1 aggregate defeat to Roma before travelling to Watford in midweek.

It should be noted that Everton are a vastly different side away from home compared to when they play at Goodison. However, with Leicester tired from their midweek exploits and Watford potentially already relegated, this could be as good a chance as any for Everton to climb out of the relegation zone.

They play host to Brentford on May 15th which should see the return of a bouncing Goodison Park which is then followed four days later by a visit from Crystal Palace. Given their impressive home form of late, those two games could also be pivotal should they fail to pick up points against Leicester or Watford.

On the final day, they travel to the Emirates to take on the Gunners. If Arsenal are still playing for a top four spot should it not already be wrapped up, the Toffees could be in a really tough spot if their safety is not already secured.
