Here are the Leeds United evening headlines on Sunday 76th December.
Fresh Diego Llorente setback
Leeds United's poor injury luck at the back continues, as Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that Diego Llorente has suffered a fresh setback following his return to training last week.
The summer signing was expected to make his first Leeds United against Burnley after Bielsa said the Spaniard was 'in conditions to play' in his pre-match press conference, only for the centre-back to be absent from Leeds' matchday squad to face the Clarets.
When the line-ups were announced, it was Pascal Struijk who was drafted in to replace Liam Cooper, who suffered an abdominal injury against Manchester United last weekend.
A makeshift three-man defence, featuring Struijk, Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips were able to hold firm and keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Sean Dyche's side, with Bielsa confirming after the match that Llorente had suffered a setback.
"He had a setback on Wednesday and from there he hasn't evolved," said the Whites head coach. "He stopped being an option for the game today."
Llorente is also set to miss Tuesday's trip to face West Bromwich Albion.
Player ratings
Kalvin Phillips' performance in the Leeds United defence was highlighted in Beren Cross' Elland Road player ratings.
"Fantastic display at the heart of a defence he has not played in much this season," he writes. "Made so many blocks and connected with so many flick-ons to avert danger when it came on."
Bamford on penalty decision
Patrick Bamford says Mateusz Klich let him take Leeds United's decisive penalty against Burnley.
Leeds were awarded an early spot kick on Sunday afternoon, which Bamford won after colliding with Clarets stopper Nick Pope.
Klich has been on penalty duties for the Whites this season but missed his last spot-kick against West Ham before being allowed to retake it due to VAR and scoring at the second attempt.
Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, Bamford admitted he was not expecting to take against the Clarets.
He said: "I've been practising penalties all the time in training, it's always been me and Klichy.
"I took them last year until I missed and then Klichy took them until he missed.
"He missed the other day but then he scored, so to be fair I thought it was still his job but he said it was mine today, so thanks."
The goal was Bamford's tenth of the season which keeps him in the race for the Golden Boot.
He will have the chance to add his tally on Tuesday evening, when Leeds visit West Bromwich Albion.
