Leeds United return to EFL Trophy competition for the first time in 10 years with Accrington Stanley, Barrow and Blackpool in their group.
Out-of-work manager Paul Hurst drew the Whites out in Group G with the three north-west outfits, two of which play in League One with Barrow newly-promoted into League Two.
United were invited to enter an under-21 side to the competition after achieving Category One academy status and entering into Premier League 2.
The matches will get underway during the week commencing September 7 with matches slated for September 8 and September 9 ahead of the Premier League starting.
The Whites last played Accrington in the EFL Cup at Elland Road in August 2014 when Souleymane Doukara scored twice in a 2-1 win.
Blackpool last played United when they met at Bloomfield Road in a 1-1 Championship draw in March 2015. Mirco Antenucci scored for the visitors.
Barrow have never played the Whites in a competitive fixture.
As an invited club, the Whites will play each of their opponents once and each game will be away from home. Group winners and runners-up will proceed to the round of 32.
In each match, United must name at least six players who were under 21-years-old on June 30 and no more than two players who were over 21 on June 30 and have 40 or more first-team appearances to their name.
