Police slam fans involved in 'worst trouble in over a decade' at Leeds game
West Yorkshire Police have issued a detailed statement condemning the 'completely unacceptable' behaviour of some fans during and after the Leeds United home game against Birmingham City at the weekend.
Of the 10 arrests already made, two men have now been charged in connection with what happened.
Stewards and police officers were assaulted during the clashes, with items including bottles thrown at mounted officers and officers on foot. No serious injuries were reported.
Preston police praised for alcohol decision ahead of Leeds United clash
Away fans at Leeds United's Championship clash with Preston North End will be served alcohol at half time following a decision by Lancashire police.
In an official announcement prior to the fixture on Tuesday, PNE Police advised away supporters to arrive at Deepdale Stadium early to avoid queueing.
It also revealed alcohol and food will be on sale prior to kick-off - after turnstiles open at 6.30pm - and at half time.
