Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier is ready to make the step up as the investigation into alleged misconduct by Kiko Casilla continues.
First choice keeper Casilla has been granted more time to respond to the allegations that he racially abused Charlton Athletic’s Jonathan Leko, with the 33-year-old now having until Wednesday, November 27.
The FA began the investigation into the incident – which occurred during Charlton’s 1-0 win over Leeds United in September – last month, with the 33-year-old alleged to have used words that “made reference to race and/or colour and/or ethnic origin”.

Victor Orta has declared Leeds United are unlikely to do much business in the upcoming January transfer window.
The club’s director of football gave a new interview to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato in which he touched on the season so far, working with Marcelo Bielsa, and how his latest role compares to his time with Sevilla and Middlesbrough.
The Spaniard, who joined the club when Andrea Radrizzani completed a takeover in the summer of 2017, has typically been reluctant to use the mid-season transfer window.
