Leeds United digest: Cooper injury latest, fixture analysis, loan updates, Kinnear snark

The final international break of 2019 is among us, with the Championship now entering a two-week hibernation period.

Leeds United were able to sign off with a win as goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison sealed a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers meaning Marcelo Bielsa's men stay hot on the heels of the top two.

While we settle down for what should be a quiet couple of weeks, here are the latest Leeds United stories...

Cooper injury latest

Marcelo Bielsa is hopeful that the injury Liam Cooper suffered during the win over Blackburn Rovers is not as 'heavy' as the problem that saw him miss three games last month.

The Leeds United skipper limped off with what appeared to be a groin problem in the 72nd minute of the 2-1 win over Rovers and was replaced by Gaetano Berardi as the Whites won consecutive games for the first time since August.

Cooper injured his groin in the win over West Bromwich Albion last month, but Bielsa said he believes that his captain's latest problem is not as serious.

Loan watch

Whilst Leeds United kept hot on the heels of the Championship's automatic promotion places this weekend with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road, the players that the Whites sent out on loan in the summer experienced a rather tricky weekend.

Of the six that Leeds allowed to leave Elland Road to bag themselves more regular football this term, only three of them got any minutes under their belts.

Here, we take a close look at how they got on this weekend.

Fixture analysis

After a run of three wins in five games, the international break may have come at a bad time for the Whites, with it potentially interrupting their rhythm. Nevertheless, it will offer a chance for Marcelo Bielsa's players to rest and get themselves ready for a crucial period in the season.

But how do the upcoming schedule look for both Leeds and their promotion rivals?

We have a look here.

Kinnear on QPR shenanigans, attendances and more

Leeds United chief executive Angus Kinnear couldn't help but mention Queens Park Rangers' 'cunning ploy' regarding their kit in last weekend's clash at Elland Road.

The Whites claimed a 2-0 win over the Londoners a week ago in a clash that saw Mark Warburton's side draw plenty of attention to themselves regarding the kit they were sporting.

Kinnear touched on that, plus recent attendances here
