Leeds United digest: Centenary kit, Elland Road expansion, Revie legends honoured

Leeds United's second century begins in earnest today, as the club look forward following a busy 100th birthday on Thursday.

The celebrations started with a ceremony at the site where it all began, as Andrea Radrizzani unveiled a plaque at Salem Chapel to commemorate the club's birth, before a Civic Reception where the legendary Don Revie side were granted the freedom of the city.

A Millennium Square party saw thousands of fans get in on the act, before the big evening bash, where more than 50 club legends, stretching back to the pre-Revie era were on hand to celebrate Leeds United's first 100 years.

Here's a look at the big stories from a memorable day for Leeds United...

It was the moment fans have been waiting for as  Leeds United revealed the design for their special centenary shirt.

Liam Cooper models the all-white kit in its first glimpse, as shared on social media, with the team set to wear it on Saturday for the home game against Birmingham City.

It has been an anxious wait for fans to see the design, and follows the bold choice of colours in the away shirt design which definitely split opinion among the Elland Road faithful.

Here, the Kappa trim is in its most minimal form, with the designer logo only accompanied by the gold of Leeds United's centenary badge and a plain all-white shirt.
