Leeds United could turn to Chelsea and Frank Lampard to aid their Premier League cause

Leeds United and Chelsea are not the best of bedfellows. The supporters loathe each other, while the respective managers are probably not sending each other a Christmas card this year.

But while that may be the case, Leeds could turn to the London club this January to aid their cause in the Premier League.

The Whites re being heavily linked with a January move for Chelsea and England defender Fikayo Tomori, according to Football Insider.

The 22-year-old may be a very promising young player, but currently finds himself down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge behind the likes of summer signing Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma.

Tomori almost left in the summer transfer window on loan for London neighbours West Ham only for that deal to fall through and a short term loan to the end of the season to allow the player to get necessary game time is now being considered.

That has alerted Leeds, who have issues at centre back due to the extended absence of Robin Koch and the current fitness concerns of Diego Llorente.

Marcelo Bielsa needs to strengthen his defensive ranks and a loan move for Tomori would do just that, but he wouldn't come free with Chelsea no doubt seeking a loan fee for the player.

Bielsa knows Tomori well having seen the player come up against the Whites while on loan at Derby County.
