Leeds United confirm third January signature with goalkeeper's new contract

A third Leeds United signature of January has been confirmed with a first professional contract for goalkeeper Harry Christy.

The 18-year-old has been the first choice between the sticks for the under-18s in Premier League North this season.

Christy’s contract will run until the summer of 2024. His signature follows Mateo Joseph's and Kris Moore's this month.

A club statement said: “Leeds United are happy to announce Harry Christy has today penned his first professional contract with the club.

“The 18-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal, running until the summer of 2024.

“Christy has been the first choice between the sticks for the under-18s this season, making 12 appearances in Premier League North.

“He becomes the latest young player to commit his future to the Whites and will look to provide competition for fellow goalkeepers Kristoffer Klaesson and Illan Meslier.

“Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Harry on signing his first professional contract.”
